DNA quantitation

Just buy lambda DNA from any supplier (Pharmacia, Gibco), cut a known amount
with PstI or HindIII and load a known amount on gel. Easy to calculate the
amount in each band of the marker. Of course yo could buy the 1 kb ladder or
something similar if you got money to waste.
