ask for help to isolate phage DNA

Hi,all!
  I have been troubled so much in isolating lambda phage DNA.It seems that
the tridition method, discribed in Molecular Cloning (1989), does not work.
Maybe it is due to the uncorrect ratio of bacteria and phage.I can only
isolate 20ug DNA from 500ml mixture.Any suggestions will be appreciated to
