Hi Jimmy,

for checking our transgenic Arabidopsis plants we use a "very quick and
dirty" protocol.
Just grind fast one leaflet with 10ul 0.5M NaOH per mg tissue, and put
5ul of this into 500ul of 100mM Tris (pH 8). We then use 1ul of it as a
template in a 40ul PCR.
It is so easy and fast that you should give it a try.
