I am about to carryout some Genomic southerns using Hybond N+ nylon membranes. I will be using a 2kb probe in an attempt to determine the copy number of a transposable element. Has anyone got any hints/tips/favourite transfer/hybridisation protocols. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Richard Parkes
