Could diaminobenzidine (DAB) induce fluorescence?

We have found, that DAB (3-3-diaminobenzidine) induces a strong
fluorescence-signal in fixed nervous tissue, especially in fibers.
This fluorescence is not due to formaldehyd-induced fluorescence (FIF)
of monoamines.
Has anybody an idea, by which reaction it may be possible that DAB
could induce fluorescence, or with which substance it could react to
induce fluorescence?
I´m looking forward for every hint :-)
