How to keep horseshoe crab's blood without clotting

Anyone who followed the OJ trial now knows that EDTA is used to prevent human blood from
clotting.  I don't know whether this is a short-term or a long-term anticoagulant, but
maybe it's worth a try with horse-shoe crab blood.  Good luck.
