Suggest direct PCR-sequencing kit?

Hi folks,

My student will be sequencing PCR products amplified from human archival
tissue-derived DNA for mutation analysis. The fragments are 200-300 bp
each.

It's been a *long* time since I've done any manual sequencing and I know
things have improved a bit.

Can anyone suggest a kit or good protocol for direct sequencing of PCR
products?

Pitfalls, warnings, etc are also appreciated.
