Detection of protein/DNA complex in PA Gels

Hello!

I have crystals of a (hopefully) protein/DNA complex and would like to make sure that both DNA and protein are present in the crystal. I've tried to run both native and SDS gels and silver-stain, but DNA bands don't appear after staining. Does anyone have a proper protocol for detecting both protein and DNA in a gel, or a better suggestion :) ?
