I don't know of any SSCP kits, with or without controls.  As far a controls
go, Jayne Deeble made a set of pUC-derived clones when she was working in
my lab that carried an alternative base at one position, or a one, two,
three four or five base insertion. These were deposited with ATCC under
accession number 87584, together with primer details to make 200, 500 and
1,000 base amplicons for use as controls in mutation detection studies.
