I have been experiencing very high background using DIG-labeled probes. Hybridization and detection are performed using solutions purchased from Boehringer-Mannheim (including EasyHyb) with the recommended amount of probe. The only item not from B-M are my membranes. I have been using Hybond N+. Could this be part of the problem?
