Hi Yoram,
Acid hydrolysis of DNA, followed by analysis of the resulting nucleotides by
HPLC should easily do the trick. I will be able to find the exact
conditions, if you´re interested. You might also have a look in Medline,
this method has often been used e.g. to determine levels of 5methyl-cytosine
in eukaryotic DNA.
