How can make a >4% agarose gel?

I've successfully made agarose gels (using Nusieve 3:1) as high as 6%.
I've used this to see if inserts as small as 60bp are being digested.
It's a matter of not getting too much air on the sample during the
melting.  I pre-dissolve the agarose powder on a stir plate for awhile
before heating.  During microwave heating I never allow the sample to
boil without stopping and mixing.  FMC has a great deal of info on this
