desalting DNA

For desalting extremely small volumes of DNA solutions I found the
following protocol in Biotechniques: pour mini-gels (1 % agarose in 100
mM glucose) into Eppendorf tubes and insert a yellow tip until solid,
remove the tip and insert your sample into the hole. Let stand for 30
min to 1 h at 4 °C, remove the desalted sample.

It works! And you never lose a pellet...
