tissue preservative buffers

Hello all,

I am looking for any buffers that can be used to preserve tissue samples
in the field at room temp (particularly skin samples). I am looking for
something other than EtOH.  The samples will be used for DNA extraction,
PCR and sequencing once we get them back to the lab.  I have heard of
using a DMSO/NaCl solution but have not tried it.  Any
suggestions/comments will be greatly appreciated!!
