screening for DNA-binding proteins

Hi:
We are screening a gt11 expression library for a DNA binding protein.
Just wonder if anyone has any tips out there. We are using a repeat
sequence of binding site. Background was a problem but that seems to be
eliminated. We tried denaturation and renaturation of the filters but
that lost the signal. Any suggestions to improve the signal?
