Help please on Genomic DNA extraction of CHO cells.

I have this problem of genomic DNA extraction of CHO cells.

After incubated overnight at 50 degrees centigrade in the lysis
buffer, a big blob of thing is found floating in my solution. Even
after extraction with phenol and phenol:chloroform, the big blob was
still there in the aqueous phase. And the DNA yield was also very low. 
Help please!
