RNase H degradation question

I have a question on RNase H degradation. Does the enzyme specifically
snip or cleave a RNA:DNA hybrid at the site of binding or does it
recogonize such a hybrid and cleave/degrade it anyplace? In other words,
if I have RNaseH activity, would the RNa be completely degraded or would
it result in 2 smaller pieces?
also, can other nucleases degrade a 'RNase H-attacked RNA' more
efficiently than an intact one?
