Auto-antibodies in mouse, how frequent?

Dear Troels, 
I once used a rabbit polyclonal antibody for Western in rabbit tissue.
But then, this was a cytoplasmic antigen, i.e. not normally exposed to
the immune system. Detecting a serumprotein however with an antibody
from the same species would make me suspicious.
