Fast Western Blots

I am having trouble with the a fast Western blot protocol as provided by the
Nen Lifesciences PVDF membrane am using Amersham ECL reagants to detect
conjugated HRP. My problem is that the signal that I am getting is very
faint or sometimes absent.
What are peoples experiences with this with fast westerns, or does anyone
have a particular protocol that they would recommend. Any advice or comments
would be appreciated.
