Hello:

This is a term that describes PCR reactions that incorporate some kind of
recombination between two or more different (but related) DNA families.
It is often used as a mutagenesis method in combinatorial "in vitro
evolution" techniques.  You might want to check out newsgroup
bionet.molecules.repertoires for more information.  Also check for reviews
on in vitro evolution.
