Seeking for expirience in using probe associated microcaps

Dear netters,
I am looking for some comments on use of microcaps (either fluorescence or 
magnetic ones) associated with nucleotide probes for isolation and/or quantification 
of specific DNA or RNA fragments.
Any suggestion will be appreciated (literature hints, practical protocols, etc.)!
