Crosslinking with NaBorohydride

I understand that there is a way of "freezing" a Shiff's base formed in
a enzyme-substrate intermediate complex by using Sodium Borohydride as a
crosslinker. If I'm not mistaken the crosslinker breakes the -N=C- to
form a -N-C- which is very stable and irreversible. Does anybody have
any experience with this? I'm trying to identify the enzyme that
catalyzes my substrate and this could be a good system. Thanks.
Miguel
