RT in-situ PCR for detecting plant viruses

     G'day, everybody,
     
     I am quite interested in RT in-situ PCR, which may give more direct 
     evidences to know if more than 1 strains of virus can replicate in a 
     single cell etc. 
     
     Does anybody has experience on RT in-situ PCR with detecting plant 
     virus especially within fruit trees, your kindly supplying some 
     information would be most appreciated.
