this may solve your problem:
when you reprobe, add excess unlabeled previous probe/probes.
If excess unlabeled probe doesn't erase the bands, your washing was not
stringent enough.
if your probe doesn't wash off properly, you can attack it with
(RNase-free!) DNase before reprobing. Don't forget to heat-inactivate
the DNase before adding your new probe...
