TITLE:             Manager, Quality Control Cell Biology and Immunology
REPORTS TO:            Associate Director Quality Control

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:            Bachelor degree

EXPERIENCE            ·            Previous experience supervising GMP
production support QC laboratory.·            7 yrs. Pharmaceutical
experience with 3 yrs supervisory experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Overall responsibility to operate / manage QC lab in an
efficient, compliant, and technically sound manner.

FUNCTIONAL:  (Near 12 - 18 Months vs./ long term)·            Manage the
delivery of in process, bulk drug substance and drug product testing using
cell based and immunologically based assays·            Manage QC Validation
activities for instruments and methods.·            Responsible for
disposition of QC tests including out of specification investigations and
deviations.·            Responsible for QC staff development program.·
Responsible for lab compliance with regards to regulatory and industry
standards.·            Contribute to accomplishing the strategic goals of
the WRI site and the QC unit.

INTERACTION:Internal - Executives / Managers / Supervisors / Professionals /
Non-exempt.External - Business Partners and other industry professionals.

MANAGERIAL:Directly responsible for 2-4 supervisors.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT:Develop staff to meet the needs of our dynamic and growing
organization.
