'real-time PCR': which machine to buy??

I just called BioRad about the iCycler-- I found out that the cycler is
$8000; the real-time PCR attachment is $37,000; and they "expect to get some
in on the 14th of February".  If anyone actually sees one, I'd love to hear
about it.
