mouse cell culture

Dear Netters,

Does anybody know what are the diferences in preparing & growing
organotypic hippocampal cultures from early postnatal mice as compared to
rat preparations (I use interface method described by Stoppini et al,
1991)? Might be diferent pH requirements? 
I would greatly appreciate your help.
