Fractionating Leishmania

Hi,
I have a protocol for Crithidia fasciculata (also works on
Trypanosoma brucei), which may work on Leishmania too.
It's essentially a matter of breaking open the cells, spinning
through renografin, and collecting fractions. It gives clean
mitochondria (mitochondrial vesicles, it's close to impossible to
get intact mitochondria from kinetoplastids), don't know for sure
about nuclei.
If you want the full story, mail me at rogier at bio.vu.nl .
Good luck,
