Wolfgang, it's a question of what you're trying to do ...  You can try
different metal ions or different chelates to immobilize the metal
ions or different conditions to elute your bound proteins. If you have
nothing better to do this afternoon, come across the street to the
biochemistry department (Hoppe-Seyler-Str. 4, top floor, room 415) and
we can talk about what you can try ;-) If nothing else, you can get a
cup of coffee.
