What are you using? The ones with silica suspension (glass milk, whatever it is
called) are terrible. I like the ones using a hydrophobic membrane interaction.

Wonder if Macherey-Nagel exists in Hong Kong, but theirs is really good (no
ties)

but as someone else said, Phenol-Chloroform followed by ethanol is always an
alternative.
