spore coat isolation

Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to isolate spore "coat"  protein   from Bacillus.I have two 
options one is to use bead beater and other is a sonicator. Can anyone 
please suggest which one is better to disrupt the spores.
Also please mention the make of the equipment and cleaning of glass beads if 
anyone following the glass bead method.
