DEPC has been found to be not necessary by many workers with RNA..  Avoid
using laboratory glassware, instead use disposable plasticware, which does not
need be autoclaved or treated, since it is RNase free, (as long as you dont
contaminate it!)  If  you use fresh MilliQ water or equivilent, it is RNase
free.  More many purposes such as Northern blots redissolving formamide will
prevent RNase activity.
