Hi D. Caldwell
There was an article in February's issue of BioTechniques where R.R.
Sederoff's group at North Carolina State University combined Qiagen's 96
plant kit and QBiogene's FastPrep FP120 Instrument. It was still expensive
but better than some.

: dear all,
: i was wondering if any one has developed a plant genomic prep in a
: 96 well format? the starting material will be about 100-200mg of
: fresh barley tissue and we are looking to get as much DNA as
: possible. we would be using the DNA for PCR mostly. obviously,
: the qiagen plant prep looks attractive, but the cost seems a bit high.
: any help would be much appreciated.
