I am doing a coupled product enhanced reverse transcriptase assay (to detect for rt activity in virus-amplified avian cell culture supernatant). My PCR products contained a whitish precipitate (which went back into solution with pipetting), and I had very faint bands on the gel. Can anyone offer any explanation for the precipitate?
