problems with primer dimer!

Babett, 

Probably happens when freeze thawing primers for many 
times.
Try melting the primers 10 min or more at 94 degC, then put 
the vial into ice water. This procedure should break up all 
primer primer interactions.
If not, order new ones and aliquot them after dilution into 
convenient fractions of e.f. 25 ul each. That's probably cheaper 
than spending days in finding the true cause. Where do you 
get your oligos from?
