I use the DIG system successfully with bacterial RNA, and it works (most of
the time). Took a lot of time to set up, but bacterial RNA is much more
difficult than most eukaryotic RNA work. Most important in my opinion is to
use RNA probes prepared by in vitro transcription, independent of the
labeling method used.
