Deoxycholate & Divalent Cations

Hello,

In the Harlow & Lane antibody manual it is recommended to 
avoid divalent cations if using sodium deoxycholate.  Does 
anybody know why?  Should i be concerned about losing my 
divalent cations (not a worry) or is this going to 
adversely affect the detergent?
