Gel purification ligation problem- Darkreader

I used to work in a lab where we bought one to avoid sunburns and damaged
DNA (not only that of our noses...). I loved it, though you need to load at
least a 1 ug digest (but that's what preparative gels are about), because
it's slightly less bright than UV. But that's with EtBr, I guess the sypros
should be better.
