dot blot vs. slot blot

Does anyone know if increased expression of a multicopy gene can be detected
using a dot-blot? I know I need to run a pilot, but if anyone has experience
dot blotting RNA could you please send me an email. I am getting ready to
set up a very large and laborious screen (so simple and cheap is the name of
the game) and it would be wonderful if i could get in touch with the
experienced dot blotters of the world.

Thanks
