DNA isolation of corn salad

I am looking for a DNA-isolation protocol for corn salad/lambs lettuce 
(Valerianella locusta). I have tried with the general CTAB-Chloroform 
method, but this results in huge enourmous pellets after isopropanol 
precipitation (just too big). DNA quality is ok, but it is very difficult to 
dissolve in a suitable volume. Maybe some special protocol for any 
vegetable relatives will do better.
