Phosphate Assay
(Rouser, 1970: Lipids 5, 494-496)
use reaction tubes with resistant lids (teflon?)

Dry samples in oven, 160°C

+ 300µl perchloric acid

90 min (minimum) ? 2 h at 180 °C

cool, add 1ml H2O (Millipore)
400 µl 1.25 % Ammonium heptamolybdate in H2O
400 µl 5 % Ascorbic acid (make fresh)

vortex
5 min in boiling water bath
Measure Extinction at 797 nm
