stability of frozen labda stocks

Does anybody out there know to what extent repeated freeze-thawing of
lambda phage stocks (with 7% DMSO) effects the titer?  Clearly, I'd want to
minimize the number of cycles, but say I have a library or some other stock
that is in a large volume relative to the application need.  How
deliterious would thawing, alliquoting, and refreezing be.  And how about
filimentous phage.  Is freeze thawing a DMSO stock really bad for it?
