p53-disappearing supershifts?

As far as I know (I am not a gel shift expert) there are some antibodies
that supershift and other that just make the complex to disappear, but
this still demonstrates that your binding is specific and also the
effect of the antibody. I do not know the reason for that, maybe there
is anybody outside that knows why.
