radioactive vs. non-radioactive ISH

Dear All,

I have a very basic question about in situ hybridization.  Specifically, I
was wondering if there are advantages/disadvantages to performing them using
non-radioactive probes as opposed to radiolabelled ones (other than the
fact, of course, that one is hot and one is not).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
