Hi guys,

recently i ordered UT5600 and CAG748 - protease deficient E. coli strain
from NEB. The description says they are " EcoK r+ m+ so plasmids have to
be modified (i.e. come from an m+ strain such as TB1, JM83, JM107, etc.)
in order to get transformants". What does that mean? and is that a
referral to methylation?

any advice will be appreciated

Iva
