Health problem with methanol?

Dear Mr. Salanti,

as long as you don't drink the stuff or spill large amounts upon yur skin,
you shouldn't expect any damage. Small quantities of methanol also are
present in your food (some of those nicely smelling natural fruit aromas
are methyl esters) and will be readily detoxified by your body without any
problems.

Of course you will be on the safe side when you perform your experiments in
the hood.

Best regards,

Wolfgang
