Different journals use different formatting and style (and logic in
general). Most of them are quite anal retentive about authors
following their artificial guidelined to the letter. For example, I
had a paper being sent back to me for "revision" simply to change
mg/ml to mg ml^-1 and put periods after the journal name in the

authors". Read it and follow it. Nothing else you can do.
