During preparation of RNA from plant material, the plastid 23S rRNA usually breaks into two smaller fragments (both fragments are smaller than the plastid 16S rRNA). Can someone tell me at which position this breakage occurs or what the exact size of these fragments is (for Arabidopsis or any other plant)? Thanks, Markus
