We want to purchase a bead mill for tissue disruption/homogenization,
Kostas
HI
Actually I have just done quite a bit of research on bead mills:
The actual manufacturer of the mixer mill 300 is Retsch Inc.
www.retsch-us.com
An alternate vendor is Glen Mills Inc. www.glenmills.com
Glen Mills has a huge variety of grinding type machines - check out
their website.
I chose the MM300 because it has the capability to adapt 2 x 96 well
plates, 0.2ml tubes, 1.5-2.0ml tubes, as well as grinding jars up to
50ml.
Qiagen calls the same machine the 'Tissue Lyser"
Spex Certiprep has another type of mill called SPEX Certiprep6750 and
the freezer/mill 6850 which uses magnets www.spexcsp.com
Hope this helps
