Hi Nicolas

You may run into trouble with this method. I'd be very surprised if the
binding of the poly His to Nickel is not depended of the pH being above
the pKa of Imidazole (round 7 IIRC). So you're likely to clean your
column with a low pH. Check on the manual of your resin. Not sure the Ni
is stable at low pH either. Oh and a terciery amine like MES can reduce
the Ni.
